Some Food Ideas For Your Bonfire Party

Now I am not going to bore you here with oodles of information about firework safety. genuinely you know the rules, after all you want you and your house to be safe don't you. If you want to enjoy our great tradition of Guy Fawkes night think ahead and prepare the food early. Do you genuinely want to be stuck in the kitchen while all around you are having a great time.

Food

What can we feed those hungry hordes who will be coming to your house, easy. prepare some sandwiches ahead of time but keep them wrapped and in the fridge, they will not go soggy folks.

Any type of sarnie will do, meat fish jam for the kids you name it. It is ordinarily cold on this celebration night so how about some lovely warming soup, again prepare it early and leave simmering on a low heat.

Jacket spuds with any topping you want, I cook them while the day then wrap them in fullness of tin foil, and stick them on the embers of the bonfire to re-heat. The same can be done with sausages chicken and other meats.

A great one for the bonfire is mackerel or some other fish you enjoy, get it already prepared from the supermarket, or best still the local fishmonger. He will have more time for you, if you by comparison what it is you plan on doing, if he has it try some red snapper very expensive fish this one but if we are splashing out ( sorry folks ) give it a go.

Place the fish in fullness of tin foil, add herbs fresh or dry, wrap tightly and put in the embers of the fire. Wait awhile, and then check it is cooked right through. Have fullness of spicy potato wedges on hand, a treat not to be missed my friends.

Here is a nice sticky treat all of the guests will enjoy.

Banana's in foil.

Ingredients.

* Banana
* Mini marshmallows
* Chocolate chips

Method.
Don't peel the banana but cut into it, lengthways. Pull it apart very slightly. Stuff marshmallows and chocolate chips into the gap. Wrap the banana securely in tin foil and cook in the embers until heated straight through and the chocolate has melted. Use a spoon to eat direct from the peel.

I suppose you could skewer the banana on a long stick and hold it over the embers, but this will hold you up from eating the other goodies on offer.

This is a personal favourite folks I am sure you will love it.

Stuffed tomatoes.

Ingredients.

* 1 large tomato per man
* Tinned tuna, drained
* Spring onions
* Cheddar cheese

Method.

Cut the top off the tomato and scoop out the inside. Get rid oft he seeds but mix any flesh with some tuna and some chopped spring onion. Use this compound to stuff the tomato. Sprinkle with grated cheese or a cheese slice. Wrap securely in foil and place in the embers until heated straight through and the cheese is melted.

If you are having a firework party without the bonfire, any of these ideas could be used on the barbecue, just fire it up in fullness of time please.

If this is the way you are going to go, get some burgers sizzling away and use some nice bread of your choice, a glass or two of beer what more could you ask for out of life folks. Enjoy.
